About: Scully struggles with the trauma of facing a terminal illness alone. Whilst Mulder reaches out to help.

Blurb: This one has been finished for over two months now and it's finally live on the net, yay! I've always wanted to make a video to this song as the lyrics fit so perfectly with the cancer arc storyline and the song was just downright wonderful. This summer I finally had some time and I'm relatively pleased with how it turned out. I'm really limited these days by my computer but I'm glad to finally share it with you all! I hope you'll find within it a little bit of the emotion I was trying to communicate! I know cancer arc videos have been done to the death and I generally avoid them, but this song would not leave me be. Enjoy.

Feedback is love!

Can anyone reccommend the best free image editing software for download? Since my computer crashed I just realised that I don't have ANY and was about to start making a small banner for a new video project.

Is anyone interested in making me a little banner for my new video? I'm pretty useless at the digital art stuff. (I'd love you FOREVER)

Peace and love,

Hey, hey! Guess who's back? Thats right! ME! (Will post on that later)

Just a little post to celebrate the fact that my YouTube channel now has over 500 subscribers! :)
It makes me smile because when YouTube deleted my first account I thought I had lost everything, but I've built it all back! It's pretty cool that so many people are interested in my X-Files edits so many years after the show went off the air!

Watch out for some new content being uploaded very soon! That means that if you haven't subscribed already, head over to my YouTube channel now and hit that button!!! www.youtube.com/user/requiemx43

Much love XXX

"The truth will save you Scully, I think it will save both of us."

This is a short two minute tribute to one of my favourite Mulder and Scully episodes, Memento Mori.
It was upon hearing the song that I felt compelled to make it, I hope you enjoy and as always, I'd love to know what you think.

My XF edit Believe The Lie is now available for viewing at Imeem www.imeem.com/people/5NcWRmt/video/RQVDF77N/requiem-x-xfbelieve-the-lie-tv-video/

YouTube deleted it a while back but it had about 10,000 hits. :(

Believe The Lie was edited August 2007. It is based on the Gethsemane / Redux trilogy and deals with all aspects of that storyline. I made this in celebration of what I believe were The X Files best moments. The trilogy is a shining example of The X Files when it was extremely popular and showcases all aspects of the show.

A Little About The Video
Can I just add that this was edited two years ago. It is not perfect. There are some things I would change if I was editing it today and perhaps it is slightly on the long side. The glitches in the clips are due to the problems I had with software at the time. Although I do remember it was a mammoth task trying to condense enormously complex storylines into one video! The reason I re-uploaded it was largely due to the amount of time it took me to edit it in the first place and it would be a waste for it to be wiped off the face of the planet. If you want to see my most current editing style then please see To Build A Home. The entry for that video is at my LJ here: requiemx87.livejournal.com/1179.html

This is an old video of mine and one of the first. I'm reposting it here because YouTube removed the sound and I finally managed to get it uploaded to Imeem.

I made this in August 2006 after having just bought Muse's most recent album at the time Black Holes and Revelations. Immediately Starlight was a standout track and to this day is still one of my favourites. I knew it was perfect for Mulder and Scully so I began what would have been my second music video ever. This was made painstakingly using Windows Movie Maker - never again! That programme seriously sucks! I was inspired by boushh's style of editing for his X-Files music video Clocks, largely dictated by the rythmn of the song and the relative simplicity of the transitions. Hopefully the vid should pulse with the beat of the track throughout. Even although my style and technique may have changed over the years, Starlight remains one of my favourite videos that I have edited to date. The tune gets me everytime.

I hope you guys still continue to enjoy it and will benefit from being able to stream it with audio intact!

Also, please feel free to friend me! I'm new to LJ!

This was my latest edit and I cannot explain just how long it took my to complete this, largely due to my super crappy computer and below par software. I am glad to have it completed and after having let it loose on the net it seems to be doing quite well. From some comments people seem to have had a strong emotional reaction which is great!

I'll be honest and admit that I am not the biggest fan of the movie and would rather have done without it. I Want To Believe perhaps highlighted a new angle of Mulder and Scully that could be explored through this video in terms of where they are in their lives and in particular their concept of 'home'. It is fascinating to see just how much these characters have developed and whilst I may not agree with it, I felt it was something that should be recognised.

Song is by Patrick Watson and The Cinematic Orchestra.
